Who we are

Liquid Marble Ltd (company number 17375602) is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Contact Dan Alford at info@liquid-marble.co.uk or 07352 996410 about your information or this notice.

What we collect

When you request a quote through Facebook, Instagram, our website, email, telephone or WhatsApp, we collect the details you provide. These may include your name, email, telephone number, job address and postcode; your preferred floor system and colours; approximate floor area and installation timing; and project photographs, survey notes and correspondence. Please provide the installation address and avoid including unrelated personal or sensitive information in photographs or messages. Meta may prefill contact fields from your profile; please check them before submitting.

How and why we use it

We use enquiry details to respond, discuss suitable finishes, assess your project, arrange a survey, prepare a quotation and manage any work you commission. Where you are requesting a quotation or entering a contract personally, we process information to take the steps you request before a contract and to perform that contract. For business enquiries, routine administration and proportionate records of our dealings, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating the business and responding to requests. We also process records where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to general marketing. We do not sell enquiry details. You can ask us to stop following up an enquiry at any time. We need sufficient contact and project information to respond and assess a quotation; if you prefer not to use Meta’s form, contact us directly.

Who receives the information

Dan and authorised people working for Liquid Marble use information where needed for your enquiry or project. Our email, telephone, hosting, messaging and business software providers process information as part of providing their services. We may share relevant details with a professional adviser, insurer, supplier or installer where needed for your project, legal obligations or a claim. We limit sharing to what is relevant.

When you use Facebook or Instagram, Meta also processes information under its own privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ . WhatsApp has its own privacy information: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy . These providers may process information outside the UK. Where we use a provider to process your information overseas, we must ensure an applicable adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards are in place. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

We normally keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then delete them or remove identifying details. If an enquiry becomes a project, we keep relevant project and transaction records for the period needed for the contract, accounting obligations and any warranty, complaint or legal claim. We keep information longer only where there is a specific ongoing need, and review what is necessary. This retention approach applies to records we control; platform providers operate their own retention policies.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction of your information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where applicable. Where we rely on consent for a separate purpose, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact info@liquid-marble.co.uk to exercise a right or raise a concern. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or on 0303 123 1113.

Automated form routing

Our Meta enquiry form uses your stated installation timing to decide whether to accept an enquiry now or show a return-later message. Answers indicating 3–6 months or uncertainty lead to an exit page without submitting your contact details to us. This is only a quotation-enquiry filter. You can contact Dan directly to discuss any project or correct an answer. We do not reject submitted enquiries automatically by postcode.

This notice covers project enquiries and resulting customer dealings. We will update it if the way we use this information changes.
